Senior management team expands as company’s growth continues to accelerate
Valletta, Malta, 21 March 2016: essDOCS, the leading enabler of paperless trade, announced today that Ashley Skaanild has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer. He succeeds Nigel Pusey, who previously served as both CCO and CFO, and will continue to serve as CFO.
“Ashley was the obvious choice to lead our global sales efforts, having spearheaded our entry into numerous new markets and having been instrumental in building our trade finance solutions business into a global leader in just two years,” said Alexander Goulandris, essDOCS CEO.
He possesses over 25 years of maritime industry experience, predominantly with Maersk Line which he joined in 1990. His work at Maersk covered a variety of roles spanning from ship-side operations to documentation, marketing and senior line management in the USA, Middle East and Asia. In 2001, he was recruited by GT Nexus as Regional Director, tasked with establishing the company in Europe and growing its shipping portal business.
In his new role as Chief Commercial Officer, Ashley will be responsible for essDOCS’ sales strategy and expansion, overseeing company-wide sales and marketing efforts across the globe. In addition to continuing as CFO, Nigel Pusey will be responsible for Partnerships and New Market Development.
“During my time at essDOCS, I’ve had the privilege of being directly involved in the growth of the many parts of the company that make up our rapidly expanding customer network today,” said Ashley Skaanild, essDOCS CCO. “I’m honoured to have been chosen to lead our global sales efforts at such an exciting time for essDOCS, as we swiftly approach critical mass in key markets and gear up for the next level in our customers’ journey to digitisation”
