CargoDocs 20.3 Release Notes

We will be releasing updates to CargoDocs on 27th January 2021 at 11am (GMT).

As with previous releases, there will be no system downtime for deploying the latest version, CargoDocs 20.3. However, we strongly recommend all documents be processed outside the hours between 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM UTC on the day.

Should you experience any issues post-release, please contact essDOCS Support as soon as possible. We will ensure that your request is handled and resolved in a timely manner.

What's Changing?

Below is an overview of the updates and improvements we will release into CargoDocs version 20.3:

1. New Company search tool – In DocHub, users can now check for Vessels, Companies and Agents signed up to CargoDocs, including the level of usage they have. You can also check on a whole trade chain at once based on the shipment type.
    
2. New LOI Creation functionality – We have created the ability to create Letters of Indemnity in DocHub from electronic B/L data in DocEx, auto populating the documents based on the chosen B/Ls. The creation is automated when a Print Convert is actioned or can be manually sent from DocEx.  
   
   This new functionality reduces chance of incorrect data entry, and allows the creation, approval and sharing of the LOI in a centralised platform.  ​​​

3. New templates – We have designed and created a range of new shipping templates as well as developing further shipping line BL templates.  
   
   Note: please contact us if your require more information on accessing these templates, or if you require us to create your own custom document templates for DocHub.
    
4. APIs – We have further developed our open APIs, extending endpoints to include all relevant DocEx actions for key interfaces.
