We will be releasing updates to CargoDocs on Wednesday, 16th October 2019 at 10:00 AM UTC.

As with previous releases, there will be no system downtime for deploying the latest version, CargoDocs 19.3. However, we strongly recommend all documents be processed outside the hours between 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM UTC on the day.

For any additional information or requests for training, please contact the essDOCS Product Team.

Should you experience any issues post-release, please contact essDOCS Support as soon as possible. We will ensure that your request is handled and resolved in a timely manner.

What's Changing?

Below is an overview of the updates we will release into CargoDocs 19.3:

  1. Ability to create & load draft templates – Users can now save draft templates to re-use for similar transactions. This saves the user having to recreate a Bill of Lading from scratch, helping avoid data entry errors and saving time (see screen shots below).
Note: This functionality has not been implemented for all users; please contact us if you require more information and/or a demo of this feature.

  2. Ability to have Teams in DocHub  – We can now set up Teams by location and cargo so that users only view and action the shipments they need to.
Please contact Support in case you would like to set up Teams within your organisation.

  3. New LOI functionality – DocHub now has the ability to enable users to create and collaborate on Letters of Indemnity (LOI). Users can select how many LOIs are required and the data from the B/Ls will populate the documents, eliminating data re-entry. The LOIs can then be sent to owners and/or buyers for approval using Collaborative Drafting.
Note: This functionality has not been implemented for all users; please contact us if you require more information and/or a demo of this feature.

  4. Distribution Improvements using dSend – Received document sets via dSend can now be added to CargoDocs using Upload, and then re-distributed to another party.

  5. dSend Acknowledgements – When documents are sent via dSend, the receiver now needs to acknowledge the receipt. This then notifies the sender, leaving a log on the shipment.

Ability to create & load draft templates

Once user has entered the data into all necessary fields, they can then save this data as a ‘Draft Template’ by selecting the folder icon on the bottom of the page:

DRAFT TEMPLATE

The user will then be able to save the template under a name:

SAVE TEMPLATE

Users can then retrieve templates and relevant data by selecting on the icon at the bottom of the page:

RETRIEVE TEMPLATE

Then select whichever template is required (the template containing the relevant data):

SELECT TEMPLATE

To confirm that this is the template required, the user will have to select ‘Accept’. Please note that once this is selected, any data in the fields will be overridden:

ACCEPT TEMPLATE
