Adoption of eDocs will allow carriers and traders to use electronic bills of lading and other essential shipping documentation

VALETTA, MALTA, 01 December 2010: essDOCS, the leading shipping eDocs provider is pleased to announce that three more leading maritime companies are live on CargoDocs.

Hellespont Tankers, Teekay Corporation and Mabanaft join a community of tanker owners and operators, terminals and trading companies already using CargoDocs to transact electronic shipping documents safely and securely.

Hellespont Tankers is part of the Hellespont group and acts as commercial manager and agent for and on behalf of the Seatramp Intermediate Tanker Pool.  The company provides high quality marine transportation and shipping services for a global customer base.

Teekay Corporation transports approximately 10 percent of the world’s seaborne oil and the company also has a significant presence in the LNG and offshore sectors.

Mabanaft Limited is the UK trading arm of Marquard & Bahls AG, with businesses encompassing international trading, import and wholesale of petroleum products, including lubricants and bunker services.

essDOCS CargoDocs enable counterparts involved in international trade to manage all the documentation required to ship and trade waterborne cargoes electronically, including original bills of lading, certificates of quality, quantity and origin. essDOCS also provides eAD, an electronic customs compliance service and eSDS, for creating and managing electronic safety data sheets.

CargoDocs have been live since the start of 2010 at the INEOS Finnart Terminal in the UK. essDOCS is now rolling out the service at crude and gas terminals across the North, Black, Baltic, Norwegian and Mediterranean Seas.
