Nigel Pusey to succeed Barry Williams as essDOCS chairman
Former AP Moller-Maersk and P&O Nedlloyd executive to assume chairman’s role in support of essDOCS ongoing mission to transform shipping documentation.
VALETTA, MALTA, October 28, 2011: essDOCS, the leading provider of critical electronic shipping documents, is pleased to announce some changes to its main Board.
Nigel Pusey, who joined the essDOCS board in June this year, becomes chairman, succeeding Barry Williams who steps down and joins the essDOCS Advisory Board.
Alex Goulandris, CEO of essDOCS said:
“I would like to thank Barry for his four years as essDOCS chairman, a time in which he has played a vital role in guiding the vision for essDOCS through our initial launch in the energy trades, our expansion into the ARA barge market and most recently the essDOCS launch into the liner sector.”
Barry Williams said:
“The past four years have been a great time for me professionally, being closely involved with a company as innovative and forward-thinking as essDOCS. I am confident that Nigel has all the qualities and experience to lead the essDOCS board during the next phase of its development supported by a strong executive and management team.”
Nigel Pusey said:
“Barry will be a tough act to follow but I’m looking forward to the opportunity that this role presents. During Barry’s chairmanship, essDOCS moved from proven concept to reality and delivery. The next few years will see the company move further forward, becoming the shipping industry standard for eDocs.”
Nigel Pusey was until recently CEO of Container Inland Services, a division of the AP Moller–Maersk Group, probably the most highly regarded company active in the shipping, energy and offshore markets. Previously he has held senior management roles in Maersk Shipping, P&O Nedlloyd and was non-executive Chairman of INTTRA.
