Vale, the world’s largest iron ore miner by volume, recently went live with CargoDocs electronic Delivery Orders (eDOs) for a series of iron ore trades to China with various third-party buyers, executing transactions both on open account as well as ePresentation to Banks.

Vale becomes the first ever company to execute shipments using CargoDocs electronic Delivery Orders – intended to gradually replace paper DOs used across its trade operations in the region – as it continues to expand and extend its digitization efforts to cover key trade documentation processes.

According to a source from the Brazilian mining conglomerate, the company chose to adopt eDOs to enable significantly accelerated document flow, granting its customers the ability to retrieve cargo with added speed.

Working in close collaboration with essDOCS since going live in Q4 2014, Vale continues to expand its use of CargoDocs across key iron ore trade lanes, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to streamlining trade documentation processes via digitization and automation.
