Preem Norway goes 100% paperless with CargoDocs

Preem Norge AS, the Norwegian arm of Sweden’s largest fuel company, Preem AB, has gone fully paperless for all shipments in Norway.
Preem Norway becomes the fastest ever location to achieve 100% paperless via CargoDocs – going live with electronic Bills of Lading (eB/Ls) in early March 2020, and achieving fully paperless in just 3 weeks from its first ever eB/L shipment.
Preem’s Norway location commenced use of the CargoDocs solution first as a receiver of cargoes shipped from Preem refineries in Sweden, thereafter moving to use of eB/Ls for its own shipments.
Commenting on the major milestone, Jon Eriksrud, Head of Business Development & Compliance, Preem Norge AS, said: “I am pleased to confirm that Preem Norge AS currently issues all B/L documents as eB/L. In the current pandemic situation, paperless is a key measure to address operational difficulties as well as limit human interaction and interaction with physical paper documents, therefore safeguarding the health of our teams.”
Preem’s trailblazing achievement is a testament to its commitment towards maximizing operational efficiency and enhancing visibility across its supply chain through digitization. We look forward to continuing to support our customer Preem on its journey to digital transformation!
