Preem Go Live
Yesterday Preem’s Brofjorden Refinery issued its first set of electronic documents for a refined product shipment on the M/T THUN GAZELLE, using CargoDocs electronic bill of lading solution. This shipment marks the first use of essDOCS eDocs under a five year operational agreement covering Preem’s two Swedish refineries. The operational agreement followed a successful trial of CargoDocs eB/L last year. eDocs were Issued in just 18 minutes from the time they were created in Preem’s terminal system, Maron Systems OAS. Data from the refinery’s system was then automatically pushed to essDOCS via a XML interface, allowing straight-through-processing and the creation of the draft eDocs in CargoDocs without need for data re-entry. Preem will start use eDocs for internal shipments through to the end of 2013, before expanding to exports with third party buyers in Q1 2014.
