Our very own Alex Goulandris will address delegates on ‘e-Bill of Lading Innovation’ at the prestigious trade finance conference in Istanbul, Turkey on November 6, discussing key themes surrounding the digitization of trade processes.

The panel session will cover topics including the growing use of electronic Bills of Lading, integration of eB/Ls with existing and new settlement instruments such as L/Cs and BPOs, as well as the far-reaching benefits of paperless trade derived from real-world implementation statistics.

Alex will be joined by an esteemed panel of speakers including Hari Jarakinaman, Head Global Core Trade Product Transaction Banking ANZ Banking Group, and Nadine Louis, Market Manager, Corporates and Supply Chain SWIFT, in a discussion led by Andre Casterman, ICC Executive Committee member and Head of Corporate & Supply Chain Markets SWIFT.

The upcoming ICC Banking Commission Meeting will take place between the 3rd and 6th November 2014 in Istanbul, and under the umbrella of ‘Trade Finance: Growth Engine for SMEs’, aims to provide a unique opportunity for leading trade finance experts to review key factors and challenges surrounding SME financing. The conference will feature numerous debate-driven panel discussions on Banking Commission rules and projects surrounding the bank payment obligation, factoring, the digitisation of trade flows, financial crime risks in trade finance, as well as the ICC’s new DOCDEX rules on Documentary Credit Dispute Resolution.
