Our very own Jacco de Jong, Managing Director, essDOCS Consulting, will be joining a panel discussion on ‘Digitising Trade Finance: Where it is now and where it needs to get to’ at TFR’s Cross-Border Trade Forum Europe in London’s Canary Wharf.

The session, which takes place on 10 March at 2.45 pm, will provide a status overview of current digitisation uptake relevant to solutions such as Bank Payment Obligation and electronic Bills of Lading, in addition to tackling key questions and challenges within the current trade finance landscape – covering recent developments in cloud computing and blockchain technology, their perceived impact on current transaction banking processes and the role of banks in today’s ever-changing technological landscape.

Jacco will be joined by an expert panel of trade finance professionals including Michael Vrontamitis, Head of Trade & Product Management, Standard Chartered Bank, Andre Casterman, CMO, INTIX and Member of the ICC Banking Executive Committee, Edward George, Head of Group Research, Ecobank and Markus Wohlgeschaffen, Member of the ICC Banking Commission Advisory Board, in a session chaired by Clarissa Dann, Editor-in-Chief, TFR.
