We’re pleased to confirm the first ever use of CargoDocs electronic bills of lading for coal trade.

The successful transaction was completed between a major Australia-based mining & trading conglomerate and a leading independent commodity trading house.

The shipment involved a bulk cargo of approximately 135,000 MT of Australian Thermal Coal, transported from Australia to South Korea aboard the vessel Berge Apo.

Apart from being the first ever use of CargoDocs for coal, the transaction also marks the first ever use of CargoDocs for a shipment into South Korea.

In addition, the trade was successfully executed by all parties using our CargoDocs Collaborative Drafting tool, which improved visibility throughout the process and substantially reduced time spent approving documents.
