Cargill has completed its first grain export from the US Gulf to Japan using essDOCS electronic bill of lading solution. The cargo consisted of 23,000 MT of Corn and 13,000 MT of Soybeans, transported on the m/v IONIC owned by NEREUS SHIPPING SA. Japan now marks another key region where our eB/L solution is used in grain trade, having been exported from the U.S and following previous successful eB/L grain shipments from Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Australia and the Black Sea. The electronic bills of lading were drafted by the documentation team at Cargill Inc in Reserve, Minneapolis, and later approved by owners and charterers Cargill International S.A (CISA). The eB/Ls were then signed and issued by the owners on behalf of the master, with the end receiver being Cargill Japan.
