Financial Controller 

Reports to: Co-CEO

Location: Athens, Greece (or) London, UK

Salary: Market salary based on experience

We are currently in the process of expanding our Team and are looking for a senior Financial Controller who can transition to a financial leadership role. In your role as Financial Controller, you will be working closely with our Co-CEO on finance and business matters.

The essDOCS Group is growing at a phenomenal rate, and you, as an extremely competent professional, will ensure that all Companies under our Group have a secure, trusted and professional financial function – playing an instrumental part in our continued growth and development.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Supervise a small team of finance department staff
  • Undertake, and oversee, the recording of monthly transactions and perform bank reconciliations for the Group’s 10 operating companies
  • Maintain the Group’s cash management trackers and manage invoicing and collections
  • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
  • Manage payroll and pensions 
  • Supervising annual audits and ensure Group meets all financial reporting requirements
  • Provide accurate, timely and relevant financial information and forecasts which assist the Senior Management of the Group to produce and meet strategic goals
  • Develop budgets, models and financial plans for the Group, and review them regularly to monitor performance

The Candidate

  • Excellent English listening, verbal, and written skills
  • Previous experience of running a small team producing financial and management accounts a plus
  • Management or Chartered accountant not essential but a plus
  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Multicurrency experience a plus
  • Experience with Xero/Fathom accounting systems a plus
  • Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues across different offices
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Ambitious, quick learning, passionate self-starter who is looking for a new challenge

Junior Application Support Analyst

Reports to: Support Team Lead

Location: Athens, Greece

essDOCS is a dynamic growth company looking for a Junior Application Support Analyst to join our Application Support Team. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining and supporting our ground-breaking digital trade & trade finance solutions, providing assistance in meeting customer and internal SLAs through the provision of support for our suite of applications.

Main Purpose of the Role

To work within a fully functional application support team helping to implement and maintain support of a hosted document management and exchange system. The key objectives will be to: 

  • Play an active role in a small global team of essDOCS support staff in the provision of 1st line client support
  • Ensure that SLAs are maintained and tasks are carried out according to defined processes

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • 1st line support for all essDOCS applications
  • Provide initial point of contact for application support (call logging) 
  • Customer onboarding and initial setup 
  • User account management  
  • General administration
  • Provide cover for Customer Success Team as and when needed

Essential Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ minimum experience working in a customer-facing environment; any helpdesk experience highly advantageous  
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-disciplined and focused with good time-management and multi-tasking skills  
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
  • Eager to learn and develop
