ESS was established to eliminate paper from trade and shipping processes by providing electronic shipping document (eDocs) Services. ESS'eDocs Services enable Users to create, transmit and manage all shipping documentation required to trade waterborne cargoes electronically. ESS enables Users to manage all key eDocs including specifically original electronic negotiable bills of lading (eB/Ls). ESS provides its eDocs Services through the ESS-Databridge™, a global electronic shipping document (eDocs) exchange which it owns and operates.
