ESS-Databridge™ Users can instantaneously transfer core shipping and trading documents including the original negotiable electronic bill of lading (eB/L). This means that the eB/L should always be available to the holder to pass down the trade chain, to the shipper, trader, receiver or carrier.

The availability of the eB/L throughout its journey down the trade chain eliminates the need for Users to issue trading or discharge LOIs. This in turn reduces the time credit lines are tied up and eliminates potential costly contingent liabilities. By removing the need to rely on discharge LOIs, shipowners can remain within their Protection & Indemnity cover at all times.
