Q: How secure is the storage of Bill of Lading data in the ESS-Databridge™? A: The ESS-Databridge™ has similar security to that used by online banks. Q: What type of documents can I transmit through the ESS-Databridge™? A: Users can transmit any document necessary for global trade. The system is flexible enough to allow you to transmit either proprietary documents or industry standard documents such as BIMCO or VICS bills of lading. Q: Can I send negotiable bills of lading and other title documents through the ESS-Databridge™? A: Yes. The ESS-Databridge™ has a comprehensive legal framework, allowing the transmission of legally binding electronic title documents. Q: Does ESS ensure the creditworthiness of ESS-Databridge™ Users? A: No. The ESS-Databridge™ is a vehicle to allow instantaneous exchange of trade documents. ESS does not provide any information or give any guarantees regarding the creditworthiness of trade partners whom you choose to deal with. Q: How will I be charged? A: Users are predominately charged on a per transaction basis to use ESS' eDocs Services. Q: Can I try the ESS-Databridge™ risk free? A: Yes. A: The first step to getting involved is either to participate in an ongoing Rollout or to learn more about our Services through our User Association, the DDG.
