Data Interfacing

ESS provides a standard web services API which allows customers to:

  • Upload* data to generate shipping documentation, for example Bills Of Lading, Certificates, Inspection Reports, Timesheets etc.  
  • Download business transaction and status information relating to active or historic shipments
  • Download in XML format the data relating to shipment document sets
  • Download in PDF format the shipment document sets


Web services are exposed for system to system communications using SOAP-RPC over HTTPS.

* Upload functionality is provided as a web service, however other data exchange mechanisms are available e.g. EDI, SMTP.

Integrated users will benefit from Straight-Through Processing (STP) enabling real time processing of business, trade or logistic/supply chain processes.
