CargoDocs for Tankers provides a simple, web-based solution enabling users to replace paper documentation relating to shipping cargoes on Tankers with original electronic documents. Specifically, the service enables the electronic creation, signing, issuing and filing of bills of lading and peripheral documents.

CargoDocs users are required to sign the ESS-Databridge Services & Users Agreement (DSUA) prior to using live eDocs for the first time. The DSUA is a multi-partite agreement which binds all CargoDocs users to each other and to ESS.

Integration enabling straight through processing of all key trade data with documentation, operations, scheduling, accounting and trading systems is available if required. ESS can manage B2B messages in a variety of common formats (EDI X12, XML, CSV) and protocols (AS2, HTTPS, FTP). All messaging transaction details are stored for archiving purposes.

CargoDocs for Barges provides a simple, web-based solution for users to replace paper documentation relating to the nomination and shipment of cargoes on barges within the ARA region with original electronic documents. Specifically, the service enables the electronic creation, sending and management of cargo nominations, load or discharge port advices, sailing advices, as well as bills of lading or tickets and peripheral documents.
